As the first passenger ship in China to meet the latest pure battery power ship inspection standards of China Classification Society (CCS), "Jun Lu" has a number of unique skills - high-safety lithium battery system, high-efficiency frequency conversion drive system, high-mobility pod thruster, intelligent ship manipulation and operation and maintenance system, the ship has a total length of 53.2 meters, a total width of 14.3 meters, using all-lithium battery propulsion, is the first domestic pure electric passenger ship above 50 meters, its arrival marks the official opening of a new era of new energy ships in the Yangtze River.

In recent years, Wuhan Marine Electric Propulsion Device Research Institute has actively responded to the national new energy and green development strategy, taken the initiative in the field of new energy ships, mainly all-electric ships, led the development of domestic new energy ship power system technology, and carried out practical and effective work from many aspects such as specification formulation, product development, industrial chain building, and business model exploration.
