The lighting switch is a low-voltage electrical appliance used to isolate the power supply or to switch on or off the current in the circuit or change the circuit connection according to the regulations. It is mainly designed for homes, offices, public entertainment places, etc. The editor of the Industrial Electrical Network below will take you to see what are the requirements for the installation of the lighting switch and where it is installed.
Lighting switch installation requirements
1. Before installation, check whether the switch specification and model meet the design requirements, and have a product certificate, and check whether the switch operation is flexible.
2. Check the on-off condition of the switch with a multimeter R×100 block or ruler×10 block.
3. Use an insulation resistance meter to shake the insulation resistance of the switch, and the requirement is not less than 2MΩ. The shaking test method is that one test wire is clamped on the terminal block, and the other is clamped on the plastic panel. Due to the large number of switches and sockets installed indoors, electricians can use spot checks to check the insulation performance of the product.
4. The switch cuts off the phase line, that is, the switch must be connected in series to the power phase line.
5. The height error of switches in the same room cannot exceed 5mm, the height error of switches installed side by side cannot exceed 2mm, and the vertical allowable deviation of switch panels cannot exceed 0.5mm.
6. The switch must be installed firmly. The panel should be flat, the panel of the concealed switch should be close to the wall, and should not be tilted, and the distance and height of adjacent switches should be consistent.
Lighting switch installation location
1. If there is no special requirement, in the same suite, the switch should be between 1200~1500mm above the ground, 150~200mm from the door, and adjacent to the socket in the same row. The installation should be on the same horizontal line, and the door, furniture, etc. should not be pushed or pulled. Object occlusion.
2. The position of the door switch should be selected according to user habits.
3. The switches of the kitchen and bathroom should be installed on the wall on the side of the opening outside the door. Waterproof switches should be used for mirror lights and bath heaters, which should be installed in the bathroom.
4. In order to live comfortably and conveniently, double-control switches should be used in the living room and bedroom. One dual-control switch in the bedroom is installed on the wall of the entrance door, and the other dual-control switch is installed on the upper side of the bedside table or on the easier-to-operate part of the bed. A dual-control switch can be installed on both sides of the larger living room.
5. Install a power socket with a switch in the kitchen to control the power on and off in time.
6. The dressing table should be equipped with a switch.
7. The balcony switch should be installed on the indoor side, and should not be installed in the balcony.
8. The switch of the restaurant should generally be selected inside the door.
9. The single-head or ceiling lamp in the living room can use a single switch. For multi-head chandelier, you can install a lighting sub-controller on the chandelier to adjust the brightness according to your needs.
10. If the study room lighting is a multi-head lamp, a sub-controller should be added, and the switch can be installed inside the study door.
11. The position of the switch installation should be convenient for operation, and should not be placed in a narrow and equidistant place behind the door.
As long as we install the lighting switch in strict accordance with the requirements, we can avoid all kinds of unnecessary line failures in the later period.
